Two Tracks. One Degree

The AA in Aviation is offered in two tracks. Track 1 leads to your Private Pilot Certificate. Track 2 adds an Instrument Rating. Complete both and you’ll have 78 college credits and two FAA ratings. A powerful foundation for your commercial aviation career.

Track 1. AA in Aviation with Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)

Total Credits: 60

FAA Outcome: Private Pilot Certificate, Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL)

Program Cost: $46,290

  • 24 credits of General Education
  • 12 credits of Bible/Theology Core
  • 9 credits of Aviation Core coursework
  • 15 credits of Part 141 ground school and flight labs

Track 2. AA in Aviation with Instrument Rating (IFR)

  • 18 credits of Part 141 IFR ground school and flight labs

Who Is This Program For?

To be considered for the AA in Aviation program, students must meet both BHU academic admission requirements and LUFA flight training prerequisites.

General Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • FAA 3rd Class Medical Certificate
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Pass a background check and behavioral assessment
  • No prior FAA enforcement actions, accidents, or incidents
  • Good moral character and strong work ethic

 

International Students: F-1 visa students are welcome. BHU administers F-1 enrollment through its international student office in compliance with SEVIS/SEVP regulations.

Beulah Heights University is an institution of higher learning in Atlanta, Georgia, accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) and under candidacy review with TRACS. BHU confers the Associate of Arts in Aviation degree upon completion of all academic and flight training requirements.

Lookup Flight Academy is an FAA-certificated Part 141 flight training organization at Gwinnett County/Briscoe Field Airport (KLZU) in Lawrenceville, Georgia. LUFA delivers all flight and ground training under FAA-approved Training Course Outlines (TCOs), and issues FAA Part 141 enrollment and graduation certificates.

Together, they deliver an integrated program where your flight hours count as college credits.
